It takes us into profundity that emanates through the world of her voice and lyrics, in reverence to the elements, the animals, the world around us and the endless possibilities of  the human heart and soul. 
 
With accuracy, elation, and depth, Raaji Amankay’s music both guides and holds us through the many changing moments of life, transformation and love.
The richness of her world is shared in multilayered voice carpets, instrumental richness and lyrics. With grounding, and expansiveness, her songs cradle us as we may find ourselves ensconced in its luminous chamber of prayer and healing.

Raaji Amankay is a ceremonial singer, sound healer, a song writer and the Drum Chief of the Moon Dance Switzerland. 
 
Singing has been her companion since childhood and has genuinely carried her through dark moments and abundantly opened light ones. Over the years the experience of a nourishing, sonorous field in and around her evolved and took her deeper into the exploration of sound and song. 
 
Many years of various types of voice coaching, soul voice and Lichtenberg method, plant medicines and indigenous ceremonies brought a new layer of depth into her music. She spent time in the Amazon of Peru learning from Curanderos the way they heal and pray with voice and sound. This initiated a significant union between healing and the power of the voice that Raaji shares in her ceremonies, concerts and workshops. 
                                                                                                                                      Raaji's music is an expression of her love for the elements and mother earth and is dedicated to healing, prayer and honoring the great spirit of life.                                                                     She also creates songs that are being sung on the mother drum of Moondances around the world.

 
 
MOONDANCE SWITZERLAND

 
The Moondance is an ancient mexican ritual in which women dance for four nights in a ceremonial circle. For the connection to themselves, to their mooncylce and to their fundamental female essence. For the healing of the family and the collective awakening. In the middle of the circle stands the mother drum where women are drumming and singing sacred songs and prayers. This is the heartbeat of the ceremony.
